here r the colour codes which r commonly used in the hospital to indicate some of the critical situations:
Code Red- Fire
Code Green- Total Evacuation of the Facility (hospital)
Code Black- Bomb
Code Yellow- Missing Patient (abducted)
Code Orange- External Disaster
Code Blue- CPR or Code Blue Team Response (cardiac arrest)
Code Grey- Air Exclusion (air pollutant)
Code Brown- Hazardous Spills (e.g. cancer chemotherapy)
for example if u heard the phrase (CODE BLUE, CCU) in the hospital, it will mean that there is a patient went into a cardiac arrest in the coronary care unit, so it needs an immediate reaction from doctors & nurses to save the patient's life and make the case stable..
