:12:

hi all dear friends

i would like to talk about the OP course

really the course start with a very bad news of going to alhada then makkah which was so terrible .

but i am gonna talk about how to get the most important thing in the course & how to learn very will .

as you all know that the course is mainly stressing on the clinical exam at the mid term so try to read alot about the how to examine the patient daily cuz really its important & its gonna be easy .

you will learn how to examine the neck , upper limb , spine & the lower limb .
:sun:

at the bigening you may feel it defficult but with time its gonna be so easy if you read always how to examine the patient . try to particepate with drs in the bedside & examine patients or friends as much as you can .

for the clinical examination i advise you to read from ORHOPEDICS & FRACTURE BY RONALD McRae . its a very nice book small size with a wonderful pictures for how to perform the exams it cost 45 S.R from al Mareekh bookstore

any way if you wanna ask any thing about the coure we r ready to answer .

& i hope to read about how was the ENT course .

Hello,
Thank u dr_messo for this subject and your good explanation about our ortho- course.
I just want to add some info about the course exam. It is a good examination . It lasted approximately for 5 minutes for each student. The exam emphasized only in the clinical skills and did not include knowledge evaluation. For example , some of the students were asked to examine the knee effusion , radial nerve palsy or to do special tests such as Thomas test of the hip.
Good Luck

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم..
first of all i want say the expressional faces very very very nice :455:
second .. thanks very much dr.messo for cooperation
and sure we will ask you if we need anything in the course ..
third..regarding the ENT course i think it was the easiest course ..
the clinical examination very easy ubt as everything it need a practice and lots of us did the mistakes becouse the lack of practice:aa:,, even if you do it on your friends.. becouse they will not allow you to do it much on the patient ..you can read the examination from lecture note of ENT or ask one doctor to do it full in front of you
:45:
and i am sure you will enjoying your time with this course
the exam was very esay pure clinical examination only ..
oh, How about the exam in ortho?? is it was pure clinical or they asked something about the informations??
waiting :s:

wish you all the best

thanx dear dr.worood for being with us here

the exams was purely clinical & not more than 5 min.

i was examind only for 2 min. only 3 Qs

they were :

1- how diffrentiate clinically b/w radial & posterior interosius nerve injury ?

2- how to examine knee efusion ?

3- examine the ankle joint .

really i did them in less than two min.

practice well & they gonna be sooooooo easy .
