FibroTest-ActiTestTM (FT/AT) is a non-invasive alternative to liver biopsy which has been
clinically validated for patients with chronic hepatitis (B and C), alcoholic liver disease
(ALD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). It uses an algorithm to combine the
results of serum tests of α2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, apolipoprotien A1, total bilirubin,
gamma glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) to assess the level
of fibrosis and necro-inflammatory activity. There are several cross-sectional, retrospective
and prospective studies assessing the accuracy of FT/AT compared to liver biopsy. Trial
results support FT/AT as an alternative or complement to liver biopsy.

FT/AT test is really usefel and I thaink it help in follow up and prognosis of the illness. It is the first time I know about this test. However, we have to know about this study furthermore. It is statisticly significant but is it clliniclly signifcant or not we need to know about that.
lab_spe thanx for your effort.

here r some of abstracts:

this test is new for the medical graduates in Bangladesh. We never heard of it to be done in practically.
