Why????

Let`s me tell u the begining of story !!

At my begining in Surgery Rota, I was assistant in Laproscopic

operation & @ the end, my consultant asked me just 2 close the skin

by stapler & I did , then he told me & all people in the room :

Dra. will bring 2 us lunch !!

:shok:

I said 2 him : 4 what ?? 4 that closure ?? 4 using just stapler ??

:huh:

consultant gave me a deep look & said : what you want 2 do in OR 2 bring lunsh 4 us ?

I said : Appendectomy , Lap Chole, Hernia Repair or may b laparotomy !!

:rolleyes:

He smiled & said : U have an extremly ambitions & aims, why all young people like that ??!!

then he left OR !!





Some resident told me, it's difficult 4 me 2 do appendectomy cuz

it's not allow 4 interns !!

-:::- 3 & half weeks later -::-

In my oncall, we admitted 14 years old male wz appendisitis

I went 2 OR 2 assist the oncall-specialist

during my scrubbing, the specialist told me : do u want 2 do it ?

:shok:

DO WHAT ... Ha ???

:shok:

Appendectomy for that pt. !!

Me ... Alooooooooone !!!

Yes , I'll assist u

I enterd the OR & did sterilization 4 pt & then stayed in Left side of Pt

waiting .. & my specialist also waiting !!

>>> he was waiting me 2 go 2 Right side !!

I didn't believe him & I think just he was joking wz me

then he said : come in the right side, u r the surgeon !!

:shok:

I went to right side & they gave me the KNIFE !!

Just when I hold the knife, I realized that I'll do appendectomy !!

I hold knife gently & tried 2 cut skin smooooothly

ofcourse .... I failed !!

then wz some force I did the incision & continue my steps !!

I was exciting, fearing & having palpitation

in each step, I tried to recall in my mind what I saw 4 !!

AlHmad Allah .... I did it well without any comlication !!!

everything run smoothly

I took 1 hour !!

then after I finished, my mind was out of order

Specialist said : Congratulation u did appendectomy !!

I said : Really, I did appendectomy .. but next time I want do it alone !!

Congratulation my dear

i just remebered my first appendectomy i did it 4 years back

i really missed my internship year

it was amazing year and interestd

one day in my oncall resedency period i did three appendectomies continuesly, and the fourth one was on the way. it was the appendecitis day.
